Winchester City Flyers was set up as an all-girls football club in 1996 to support and encourage female sports inclusion. Over the last 12 years we have grown from 30 players, to over 200, with 3 Ladies teams, youth teams at every age-group from Under 6's to Under 18's and 2 boy’s teams. This is a reflection of the growth of the Women's game not just locally but nationally, as the talent goes from strength to strength.

This has been the case for the Flyers Ladies sides, as they have seen 5 promotions over the last 4 years between the First Team and the Reserves, as well as having the depth of players to create a Development team. In the youth age groups, the girls getting involved in Flyers have got younger and younger leading to the recent creation of an Under 9's team. In addition to this, some age groups have gained so many players that two or three teams have been created to cater for this enthusiasm to play for Flyers.
