Ladies Set Up Announcement
Posted by Mark Hickson on 12 July 2018
Following the recent announcement of our new Ladies First Team Management structure, the Club are pleased to confirm the management structures of our Reserve and Development teams for the upcoming season.
Reserves
Having stepped down from his role in the First Team, the Club is pleased to announce that Chairman Allan Higgs will take over the Reserves as their manager!
Having been with the club for over 11 years, Allan has managed and coached at most age groups in our youth setup, as well as progressing the Ladies First Team to their highest ever league position during his 5 year spell with them.
Allan will be ably assisted by Stu Barker who will be continuing his role as Reserve team coach. Stu joined the Flyers at the start of last season with the reserves and the Club are very happy that he is continuing his involvement as we start our new adventure.
A Level 1 FA Coach and qualified fitness instructor, Stu has worked in coaching roles at both youth and adult level for over 19 years! As he showed last season, Stu will bring great energy and new ideas to training sessions and match days, whilst also helping to develop our new crop of players in their progression towards higher levels.
A Team
Our A team management structure remains the same for this coming season, with Paul Stone managing and Steve Elkins assisting .
This vitally important team offers a pathway through the club from our youth structure to our adult set up. This is facilitated by Paul and Steve, who will continue to welcome, develop and support players in their journey into adult football, as well as offering a fun and friendly environment for all ladies to play.
Senior Development Officer
In tandem with this modified Ladies structure, the club have also appointed Tony Panteli as Senior Development Officer. Tony's role will be that of engaging with Ladies, U18's and U16's and working with the respective managers in identifying, encouraging and supporting players to progress through the playing ranks, giving everyone the opportunity to play at the highest level they wish.
Our club mandate is for our Ladies teams to be playing at the highest level with no restrictions on where this may lead and to do it primarily with players from our youth set up, meaning Tony's role will be instrumental in achieving this.
